A voluntary iPhone test
One shift.
Your honest feedback.
I'm the developer of Rostivio. I'm looking for five volunteers whose actual start, finish or unpaid break sometimes differs from their shift plan.
Try keeping both records, then tell me what felt confusing. Allow about 15 minutes, including first-time setup. Getting stuck is useful feedback too.
Already on the App Store. This task is free: no Pro, trial or purchase is required. No review or referral is expected. You can stop at any time.
The task
Keep the plan. Record the change.
Start with the setup.
On first use, complete the welcome flow, work profile, shift templates and rotation setup before reaching the calendar. Use the fictional example above if you are just trying the app.
Already using Rostivio? Choose a completed shift you actually want to record and keep its details on your device. You don't need to reset the app or add fictional work to your real records.
Save what actually happened.
Keep the planned shift unchanged. Add a separate actual-work record with the actual start, finish and unpaid break. Try finding the steps yourself first; the optional help below is here if you need it.
Look at both records.
Can you tell which hours were planned and which actually happened? For the fictional example, the plan is 8 hours and the actual record is 8.5 hours after the unpaid break. If you couldn't finish, tell me where you stopped.
Need help finding the steps?
- In Calendar, select the shift and choose View shift details.
- Open Actual work. Enter the actual start, actual end and Unpaid break (minutes).
- For this simple example, leave Paid minutes override blank.
- Choose Save actual work, then review the plan and actual record. Do not change the original planned finish to match the actual one.
These are the English labels. It's fine to use this help; mention it in your feedback. You can also read the planned and actual hours guide.
Optional feedback
What worked? Where did you stop?
A short email is enough. Share only what you are comfortable with:
- Your iPhone model, iOS and Rostivio version, if known.
- A broad shift pattern, such as rotating days and nights.
- Whether you saved the actual record while keeping the plan, and which step was confusing.
- Whether you used the optional help or needed someone to guide you.
One next-shift follow-up? Say yes or no. If yes, suggest a broad window such as “next week”. No exact shift date, time or workplace is needed. No answer means no follow-up; you can change your mind at any time.
Email optional feedbackOpens your email app; nothing is sent automatically. You can also write to johnprice.dgj@gmail.com. Sending email shares your sender address and the content you choose to include with the developer.
Please don't send payslips, real pay amounts, addresses, employer or patient details, or exact schedules. Describe problems with the fictional example instead. No screenshot or recording is needed.
After your next actual shift
If you agree to one follow-up, I'll ask whether you had another shift and whether you chose to record it again. No shift yet is different from not using the app; no reply won't be treated as either. There is no obligation to keep testing.
Manual actual-work recording and basic gross estimates are free. Optional Pro adds advanced pay rules, CSV/PDF/ICS exports and Home Screen widgets; none are needed for this task. Rostivio supports English and Simplified Chinese.
